Are you facing a major rainwater problem? Whether it's a new construction, merging multiple systems or meeting more stringent standards, a central buffer system offers solutions for maximum water retention.

What is a Rockflow® central buffer?

Sometimes it is more efficient to collect surface water from surrounding roofs, streets and impermeable surfaces at a single location. For existing built-up areas or housing developments where decentralised solutions cannot meet storage requirements or when there is insufficient space, installing a central attenuation and infiltration system can be the best choice. Water is drained from the surrounding
area towards a central place. This is often underneath a car park, square or park.

At this central point, the rainwater is collected from the surrounding area and infiltrated into the groundwater or dosed into the sewerage system.

What are the advantages of a Rockflow central buffer?

  • Easy maintenance: One central location to operate and maintain the system

  • Flexible design: The system can be customised to the situation at hand. Whether you need large buffer fields or several small systems, Rockflow can be installed under squares, car parks, playing fields or even buildings thanks to its high load-bearing capacity.

  • Optimum water retention and infiltration: the entire base and part of the sides of the system act as an infiltration surface, so that adequate infiltration performance can be achieved even on less permeable soil types.
